Last week, Parliament was on Easter recess and I spent it working in Gedling. My work included:
Chatting to Burton Joyce residents about the A612 and speeding.
A briefing call with the Secretary for State for Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock, to discuss the Second Step of the Roadmap.
Speaking with Barclays Bank about ways to protect Gedling residents from fraud
A virtual meeting with the Chief Executive of Gedling Borough Council regarding Gedling's 'Levelling Up' funding bid.
A call with the Nottinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group regarding COVID-19 and the vaccination rollout in Gedling and across Nottinghamshire
Writing to Vicars across Gedling to inform them of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport’s Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme, which has been extended for the next financial year.
A briefing call with the Minister for Vaccine Deployment, Nadhim Zahawi on the COVID-19 vaccine.
Held my regular help and advice surgery, by telephone, assisting Gedling residents on Friday evening.
This week, Coronavirus restrictions lift further, allowing us to enjoy a pint in pub beer gardens with friends, stop off for lunch at cafes, go shopping, work out at the gym and have a haircut.
I've had my haircut (at last!) and look forward to enjoying a pint in Gedling very soon.
Enjoy the week
