I am pleased to be back home in Gedling after another busy week in Parliament where my work included:
Listening to the Chancellor present his Budget which will make a real difference to people across Gedling, helping working families with the cost of living, supporting our local businesses with their recovery, and investing in our public services so that everyone gets the world-class hospitals, schools, and police services they deserve
Meeting the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry to discuss a current NICE review and the affect it might have on the treatment of rare diseases.
Attending the AGM of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Bosnia & Herzegovina and pleased to have been made a Vice-Chair of the group.
Speaking in the final days Committee stage of the Elections Bill where I’ve been a member of the Bill Committee. The Bill will now go to Report Stage.
A meeting of the Hong Kong All-Party Parliamentary Human Rights Group about the situation of lawyers and state of rule of law in Hong Kong and mainland China
Discussed improving support for those experiencing the menopause with the Health Secretary.
Speaking in the Animals (Penalty Notices) Bill debate which will create additional penalties for those who breach animal welfare laws.
Over the weekend I will be talking to Colwick residents while reporting back to them on the work I have been doing in Parliament and across Gedling to deliver on their priorities. Next week is UK Parliament Week and I am looking forward to visiting schools across Gedling to talk about the workings of Parliament.
Enjoy the weekend.
