RANDALL’S ROUND-UP
Parliament is now on recess until September, which means I will be working across Gedling every day. This week marked the first week of that and my work has included:
Chatting with Redhill residents and helping them with issues during my Summer Street Surgery Tour
Visiting Nottingham’s Citizens Advice Bureau to hear how they are supporting Gedling residents
Speaking to Nottinghamshire's Police and Crime Commissioner about tackling speeding and making Gedling safe
A visit to Gedling Station, where I have supported volunteers access grant funding towards their fantastic restoration project that is bringing an historic building back into community use
Handed out awards to Burton Joyce Primary School children who entered the winning names for the VE Day commemorative planter which is on display at the Burton Joyce train station platform.
Had lunch with Age Concern Carlton and District members during their weekly ‘Social and Activities’ session
My office joined a Zoom meeting with local Councillors and residents to discuss the future of the former Gedling school site. We all want to see part of the site reserved for a green public space
Spoke to Bestwood residents during another of my Summer Street Surgery Tour
Visited residents in Arnold to investigate damage being caused to their property by overgrown weeds on Council land
Over the weekend I will be helping to tidy up Arnold by supporting the Arnold Litter Pick event which is starting at 10:30 on Sunday at the bottom of Redhill Road.
Enjoy your weekend.
