I receive lots of queries each month from constituents across Gedling on a variety of topics. This month, to date, I have received 379 casework-related emails on topics ranging from the strikes and neonicotinoids to asylum seekers and leisure centres. A breakdown of this month's topics can be seen on the graph below.
It has been another busy week in Parliament and across Gedling, where my work has included:
Delivering an update to residents off Westdale Lane on the work I am doing in Parliament and across Gedling to deliver on their priorities. I know road surfaces in that area are a particular concern and I've raised this with the County Council;
Welcoming Gedling constituents to Parliament;
Discussing crime and illegal Channel crossings with the Home Secretary;
Questioning the Government's Independent Adviser on Ministers’ Interests at hearing of the Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee;
Listening to the views of Colwick residents;
Recording BBC Politics East Midlands, which will be aired on Sunday morning - topics include local transport and voter ID
Over the weekend I look forward to chatting with Mapperley Plains residents and reporting back to them on the work Cllr John Parr, Keith Seaton, Edward Jayamaha, Carol Walker and I are doing to deliver on their priorities.
