RANDALL’S ROUND-UP
The World Cup kicked off last week and, while cheering on England, I have remained busy in Parliament and across Gedling. My work on behalf of constituents has included:
Attending the Remembrance service in Mapperley on Sunday, 19th November with Cllr John Parr and laying a wreath to honour those Gedling residents who made the ultimate sacrifice;
Sitting on a Bill Committee, scrutinising the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill;
Opening the Age Concern Carlton Christmas fair and winning a tombola prize;
Speaking with staff at Carlton Hardware ahead of the grand opening of the new shop later this week;
Discussing the benefits of the Devolution Deal with local residents;
Celebrating the impact a Community Lottery Fund grant is having on a wellbeing business located in Netherfield;
Attending the Netherfield Christmas light switch-on with County Councillor Mike Adams;
Chatting with shoppers in Carlton Tesco during one of my supermarket surgeries;
Reporting back to Carlton residents on the work I am doing in Parliament and across Gedling to deliver on their priorities.
I am back in Westminster this week where a highlight will include showing the Prime Minister the winning designs of this year's Christmas card competition, designed by school children across Gedling.
Have a great week.
