It has been a sunny week in Parliament and Gedling where my work has included:
Attending the opening of Colliery Way (Gedling Access Road) which is reducing congestion through Gedling village and cutting journey times.
Speaking to the Minster for Levelling-Up about securing investment into Gedling and how the local Council can improve their bids.
Listening to Jeremy Clarkson speaking about farming in Parliament. Really interesting to hear his views, not only on the issues facing farmers, but on the wider subject of food security.
Meeting the Prime Minister and discussing the crisis in Ukraine and passed on feedback from my recent visit to the Nottingham Ukrainian Cultural Centre.
Watching the Chancellor deliver his Spring Statement, which is cutting taxes for Gedling residents.
Meeting the GPs of Arnold’s Highcroft Surgery. They told me that the Practice’s new telephone system is now up and running smoothly. I will be attending the Patient Participation Group meeting to hear more.
Speaking about the package of tax cuts the Government is delivering to tackle the cost of living and support local businesses at a recording of BBC Politics East Midlands - tune in at 10am on Sunday morning.
Over the weekend I look forward to speaking to Arnold residents and reporting back to them on the work I am doing in Parliament and across Gedling to deliver on their priorities.
Enjoy your weekend.
