RANDALL’S ROUND-UP
After a busy summer across Gedling, I returned to Parliament last week where I continue to work with Government on delivering Gedling's priorities. My activities included:
Discussing delivering on our County's priorities during a meeting with fellow Nottinghamshire MPs and the Chief Executive of Nottinghamshire County Council.
Asking questions of a number of witnesses, including representatives from Age UK, Electoral Commission and the Police, during a meeting of the Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee on The Elections Bill.
Listening to a briefing from the Health Secretary on the Government's plan for health and social care
My office spoke through ideas for the former Gedling school site with a local community group that are working on plans to retain some of the land for community use
Met with Nottingham University Hospitals where we discussed their maternity units and the improvements to care that are being made
Chatting with Gedling residents about local issues during my regular help and advice surgery
Knocked on the doors of Carlton residents to talk about and support them with local matters during my summer street surgery tour.
I am looking forward to returning home to Gedling on Thursday and visiting community organisations over the weekend.
Enjoy your week.
